Warhol-Vijande: Más que Pistolas, Cuchillos y Cruces
In the early 1980s, Madrid awakens after decades of dictatorship and becomes the epicenter of a cultural revolution known as La Movida. Amid this creative explosion, the Fernando Vijande Gallery brings together artists, filmmakers, and musicians eager to challenge convention. In 1983, Andy Warhol arrives in the Spanish capital to open Pistolas, cuchillos y cruces — an exhibition that forges a symbolic bridge between Madrid and New York, redefining artistic dialogue between the two cities. Guided by Alaska, both narrator and witness to that moment, the documentary travels through Madrid, Barcelona, Pittsburgh, and New York to revisit a friendship and an era that forever changed the meaning of art and freedom.
