Identity, Inclusion, and the Fashion of the Future
Open discussion

Fashion has always been a mirror, but also a crack. In this open conversation, we ask who decides who we are when we get dressed, and what happens when the body becomes a political territory. Identity, Inclusion and the Fashion of the Future proposes a living dialogue on new ways of inhabiting fashion through dissidence, fluidity and creative freedom.

Designers, thinkers and cultural agents will reflect on how gender identity and non-normative voices are transforming runways, screens and the streets. Because the future of fashion is not imposed: it is built from diversity. And graphic and audiovisual culture —images, narratives, archives and screens— plays a key role in creating references that expand the collective imagination.

The session will be moderated by Patricia Moreno and Ona Bascuñán, and will feature the participation of Afioco Gnecco, director of Ciao Bambina; Wekaforé Jibril, musician, creative director and founder of Voodoo Club; Pitita Queen, winner of Drag Race España 3; and Ari Rovira, tailor and creator of Lancaster Studio.

This open dialogue takes place prior to the screening of Bosque mágico WMG in Hall 3 of Mooby Bosque Cines.

Bosque Mágico
Juan Carlos Malavé
Puerto Rico, 2025. 20 min | VO (Original version)

What makes a fashion designer a unique creator? Having a distinctive aesthetic universe, an identifiable language, an unmistakable artisanal skill. The young Puerto Rican designer William Murphy Guitard, an admirer of Schiaparelli, Jean Paul Gaultier, and McQueen, shares with the audience his bold and eccentric vision of fashion, indebted to the carefree spirit of the Roaring Twenties and the striking force of the 1980s. William is forging his path in New York without losing the fury and joy of his roots, delivering masterstrokes such as the viral look worn by artist Villano Antillano when she was invited onstage at Bad Bunny’s concert.
